 Ciaran Wynne's New Album Showcase

Ciarán Wynne is a Kildare born singer/songwriter who finds his inspiration in the diversity of contemporary music.

For the past decade, singer and songwriter Ciaran Wynne has been bringing his very own style of music to various clubs, concert halls, and festivals. His natural ability with music combined with his distinctive songwriting has led to a flourishing career in Ireland and abroad.

Out of his wide-ranging musical influences, he has created his own individual style and is comfortable with acoustic music as well as with an edgier, bolder sound.

Ciaráns' distinctive voice and songwriting has earned him praise for his first two albums from the Irish music industry, including people such as Oliver P. Sweeney of HotPress Magazine, Ireland’s number-one music magazine, and singer/songwriter legends such Christy Moore.

The millennium year saw the launch of Ciarán’s debut album No Way Home , which earned him rave reviews. Hot on the tracks of his debut album, he released Turquoise and Brown three years later.

Ciarán has shared the stage many times with artists like Luka Bloom, Juliet Turner, John Spillane, and Sharon Shannon, among many others. Ciarán performed on tour in Amsterdam, London, Sarajevo, and Montreal, as well as a number of local venues around Ireland.

On the road and live on stage is where Ciarán feels most at home, and 2010 will see the launch and tour of his new album, Heading for the Sun.

He will showcase this album at the Phoenix on Friday the 26th of March with a band that includes The Phoenix's own Mark 'Sharkey' Wynne and Seven Days' bassist Darren Sweeney.  Opening support will include music from 'Diverse'.
